# Privacy Policy

This app is designed to help you notice and gently track your smoking habit. Your privacy matters. In short: **everything you enter stays on your device. We do not collect, transmit, or share your data with anyone.**

## Information stored in the app

When you use the app, the following information is stored **locally on your device only**:

- **Daily cigarette count (optional):** a number you choose to enter as a baseline.
- **A photo (optional):** if you choose to add a photo of someone important to you, the app stores a local copy of that image on your device to display it inside the app.
- **Activity records:** entries you create while using the app, such as urge-surfing sessions and smoking events, including their timestamps, outcome (e.g. "rode it out" or "smoked"), and an optional trigger tag (e.g. "after a meal").

All of this information is saved in the app's private on-device storage. It never leaves your device.

## What we do NOT do

- We do **not** operate any server or backend, and we do **not** upload your data anywhere.
- We do **not** use analytics, advertising, tracking, or crash-reporting services.
- We do **not** share, sell, or disclose your information to any third party.
- We do **not** collect your name, email, phone number, location, contacts, or any account credentials. The app has no sign-up or login.

## Permissions

- **Photo Library (iOS) / Photos:** Requested only when you tap to add or change the photo of someone important to you. The app accesses the photo library solely so you can select an image; it does not read or upload your other photos.

The app does not use the microphone, camera, or location.

## How your information is used

Your information is used only to provide the app's features to you on your device — for example, to display your chosen photo, show your progress, and remember your records between launches. It is not used for any other purpose.

## Data retention and deletion

Because your data is stored only on your device, you are in control of it:

- Using the app's reset function clears all stored information.
- Deleting (uninstalling) the app removes all data associated with it from your device.

We do not retain copies of your data, because we never receive it.

## Children's privacy

The app does not knowingly collect personal information from anyone, including children, and stores no data off-device.

## Security

Your information is kept in the app's private storage area on your device, protected by your device's operating system and security features. Keeping your device updated and protected with a passcode helps keep your information safe.

## Changes to this policy

If this policy changes, the updated version will be provided with the app, and the "Effective date" above will be updated.
